Editor's note: The other day, CCMH Community Relations Director Karen Clarke sat down with Dr. Mark McGehee
to learn more about him, and why he recently accepted a position with Gillette Medical Imaging / CCMH Radiology.
Dr. Mark McGehee has joined the staff of Gillette Medical Imaging and Drs. LaManna,
Lawrence, and
Mitchell. Dr. McGehee practiced Radiology in the Denver area for more than 20 years before making the move to Gillette. He and his wife Ashley were looking for a safe place to raise their children; 5-year-old daughter Madeline and 18-month-old son Jackson.
Dr. McGehee attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency at the Norwalk and Yale New Haven Hospitals in Norwalk, Conn. He went on to a body imaging fellowship at
Yale University after residency. He is Board Certified in Radiology. Though he was looking for a general radiology position, Dr. McGehee has special training in both musculoskeletal and breast imaging; reading more than 7,000 mammograms last year.
Patient care is Dr. McGehee’s first priority, and his philosophy is very service-oriented. He enjoys working with other physicians and healthcare providers, and was impressed with his potential partners and the hospital after the first calls and interviews.
When asked about his hobbies, Dr. McGehee highlighted spending time with children, though golf and fly-fishing are also favorites.
Please welcome Dr. McGehee to CCMH and our community.
