Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Geraghty Kirsch, RN, BSN, BS, who has worked for
nearly three years as a nurse in the
Emergency Department at
Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Geraghty has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports
Medicine, as well as Nursing, and went to school at the
University of Wyoming and
California Lutheran University. She has worked in health care for a total of eight years.
Geraghty was inspired to work in health care by the desire to help people
heal and get back to what they enjoy in life. She calls her health care
heroes the experienced nurses she works with who inspire her daily. “Their
knowledge base is a huge resource and they have the best tips and tricks.
Additionally, there’s no better way to pass a long night shift than
by listening to tales of nursing days gone by,” she says.
Outside of work, Geraghty enjoys spending time outdoors in Wyoming with
her husband (Shane who works in
Emergency Medical Services) and their two pups, Oley and Sven. We asked her what she likes most about
working at CCH. Check out her response:
“I enjoy the teamwork and comradery in the emergency department.
We genuinely enjoy each other and that makes all the difference. I feel
proud when I have prepared a patient to move on to the next level of care, be it to
Behavioral Health Services, Intensive Care Unit (ICU),
Medical/Surgical Unit, or a flight crew to transport them to another system. Taking a patient
from critical to stable (a relative term in this department) is really
an exciting process.
Excellence every day means working hard, plain and simple.”
Thank you, Geraghty for taking such great care of our patients in the Emergency
Department. We appreciate you!
