Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Say hello to Jeremy Onsgard, MA, EMT-I, who works as a Medical Assistant
at Campbell County Medical Group
Cardiology, and as a Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate (EMT-I) at CCH
Emergency Medical Services. Jeremy is also a
CPR instructor, and has Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Burn Life Support
certifications. Jeremy has been with CCH for the last seven years, but
has worked in health care for the last 16 years.
Jeremy has had a desire to help people since he was a young child. “After
high school I joined the
U.S. Navy and became a firefighter. While serving, I had the opportunity to work
with the medical staff, and it was after those experiences that made me
decided to get into the medical field,” he said.
For fun, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, as well as riding
his motorcycle and shooting. We asked Jeremy what he likes most about
working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to him. Check out
his response:
“The things that I enjoy the most about working in the health care
and at CCH is the fast-paced environment, especially in EMS. Also that
I am able to care for people who are dealing with life and death situations,
and new patients and experiences come every day, we never experience that
same day twice. I enjoy being there to help people when they or their
family members may be experiencing their worst day, and hopefully I am
able to make a positive impact and difference in their lives.
To me, excellence every day means to strive to always go above and beyond
for my patients and co-workers, and to continually strive to be better.”
Jeremy, thank you for being there for our patients when they need you the
most. We are proud to have you on our team.
