Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County, Wyoming community to know about the good work
that they do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Rich Robertson, Pharm D., a Pharmacist at the Campbell
County Memorial Hospital
Pharmacy Department in Gillette, Wyoming. Rich has been with CCH for 14 years. Rich earned
a bachelor’s of science degree in Biology and his Doctor of Pharmacy
degree from the
University of Wyoming. He was inspired to work in health care from his father, who was a dentist
and “loved what he did,” says Rich.
“He thoroughly enjoyed helping people and always had a great attitude.
He was very compassionate and performed free work for any young man or
woman going to serve a mission. He even sang to some of his patients,"
says Rich. "I think his love for helping people really got me interested
in health care from an early age. I now have family full of health care
providers—brother and sister are pharmacists; brother-in-law is
a pharmacist; brother-in-law is an optometrist; another brother-in-law
is an orthotist and prosthetist; a sister-in-law is a physician; and my
father-in-law is a clinic manager—who continue to inspire me.”
Rich calls
Ken George, CCMH’s previous Pharmacy Director, his healthcare hero because
of his dedication to the hospital, and his staff. “He worked absolutely
harder than anybody. When we had critical staffing issues, he performed
his duties of manager and worked full time, and really sacrificed to help
the hospital pharmacy function and take care of his staff. Ken was a person
that always worried about other people’s needs before his own,”
says Rich.
Outside of work, Rich likes to spend time with his family. “I spend
a lot of time watching my four children participate in basketball, tennis,
volleyball, and football—I also help coach basketball and football.
I love to spend time in the outdoors and would fly fish every day of the
week if I could,” he says.
We asked Rich what he likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to him. Check out his response:
“Pharmacy is a small department so we get to know everybody really
well. We have some great personalities and seem to be able to mesh really
well. It seems like in times of need we are good about taking care of
each other. We also know how to have fun! I really enjoy the team approach.
Healthcare and pharmacy has changed over the years and pharmacists are
utilized much more now by physicians to help answer questions and improve
patient outcomes.
Excellence every day means having a great attitude while providing the
best possible product and service to all of our customers. Be proactive,
productive and a willing member of the team.”
Thank you, Rich, for providing the best possible care to our patients.
We are proud to have you on our team.
