Celebrate "the Longest Day" and support the
Walk to End Alzheimer's in Gillette, Wyoming by taking Laps for Legacy!
For those who don't know, the Longest Day is the day with the most
light – the summer solstice. On Friday, June 21, thousands of participants
from across the world will come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s
by participating in some kind of activity. At
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center, staff are walking Laps for Legacy. Staff, visitors, and residents are
encouraged to take a lap at The Legacy. This can be around the parking
lot or around the Lasting Legacy Park, or just around the Great Room if
you can’t get outside. Any donations toward this effort will go
toward The Legacy Team for the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's on September
7, and benefit the
Wyoming Alzheimer's Association.
Sign up with one of the Activity Staff so we can track how many of us participate
in Laps for Legacy; call 307.688.7000.
Let’s stand up, take a walk, and enjoy this Longest Day, by taking
a lap, or two, or 10, to celebrate light and an end to Alzheimer's.
You can also participate in Primrose Retirement Communities
Rock-a-thon & BBQ Fundraiser on June 21; details in their
Facebook event.
Please take 15 minutes of your day to participate and help raise awareness
for The Longest Day. Get more details at
