Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County, Wyoming community to know about the good work
that they do for this organization.
Introducing Christina Redman, a Medication Aide (MA-C) who works at
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. For those who don’t know, a certified medication
aide is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) who has completed additional classroom training to be certified to dispense
medications to patients while working under the supervision of a Registered
Nurse. Training is usually 4 months, and includes 140 hours of supervised
clinical practice. Christina also has a welding degree!
Working for The Legacy was her start in healthcare, and she’s worked
for CCH for two and a half years. Christina said it was her mother who
encouraged her to pursue a career in health care. “She told me that
I always had a spot in my heart for the older generation. I could connect
with them, was very compassionate toward them, and loved being around
and hearing their stories. She said that she felt that I would be a perfect
fit to work at a long-term care facility,” she says. And, we must
say that Christina really is a perfect fit.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family. “I
run my kids around all the activities they have going on!” she says
with a laugh. “When it’s nice out, I love being outside in
the sun, whether it’s out at the lake, mountains, or just my back
yard.”
We asked Christina what she likes most about working for CCH, and what
excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I like my team and how well we work together, as well as understand
our residents and even each other. We care about each other, can be sympathetic
and have empathy for each other, and make sure that we are all alright.
Also, we like to have fun! When I can make a resident smile even when
they have little to no communication but facial emotion, that’s
what make my heart happy.
Excellence every day to me means coming to work ready to make my resident
have the best day ever, every day they wake up and for them to know they
are safe and loved.”
We love that explanation, Christina. We are proud to have you on our team.
