Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Meet Lori Archer, a registered nurse (RN) at
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. Lori knew early on that she would grow up to become
a caregiver. Lori began her healthcare career as an Emergency Medical
Technician (EMT) Basic in 1991, as well as an independent first aid instructor. In 1993,
she also became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In 1993, she started working for CCH in
Emergency Medical Services and at Pioneer Manor as a CNA.
“At first, I thought I would become a veterinarian or be in veterinary
medicine, since I grew up on a ranch in Idaho. But after starting a family,
I learned that true calling was in nursing,” she says.
Outside of work, Lori’s favorite things to do include spending time
with her eight grandchildren, taking care of her farm animals, riding
horses, hiking, camping and doing yard work.
We asked Lori what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response.
“I enjoy working in
Short-Term Rehabilitation because it is a fast-paced department where we provide individualized
care that constantly changes.
To me, excellence every day means always trying to do better—to exceed
expectations and continually strive to be better than you were the day
before. It also means you have to be willing and committed to accept and
adapt to change. Excellence is not just one thing; it is about having
pride in where you work, having high standards in what you do, mentoring
and encouraging others, and making someone else’s day better.”
We couldn’t agree more, Lori. Thank you for being a part of our team.
We appreciate you.
