Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Say hello to Marti Hoem, the RIS Coordinator for the
Radiology Department at
Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming. She’s worked for CCH for six years. Marti
is a Certified Medical Transcriptionist and received her training from
Northern Wyoming Community College District. Marti was inspired to work in healthcare because she has always been
drawn to helping people. “I have a desire to help others, and be
part of a team that provides care with respect and kindness. Working in
healthcare is all about compassion and respect. Knowing that I can help
a person in that way is a blessing,” she says.
When asked who her healthcare hero is, she names a Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) nurse named Raeann. “She was my twins’ primary
NICU nurse when they were born prematurely. My twins were in the NICU
for 10 weeks. She showed me and my twins so much care and compassion that
I will truly always remember her. She is the true definition of a healthcare
hero. She wasn’t just there for them, she was there for me, too.
She is a family friend and someone who will always hold a special place
in my heart,” Marti says.
Outside of work, Marti loves spending time with her family. “We enjoy
going bowling where we participate in a little family competition. I also
participate in rec volleyball and softball. During the summers, we like
to camp and go fishing. We enjoy spending time in
Big Horn Mountains and
Boysen Reservoir. I also enjoy crafting and crocheting—in fact, my crafting comes
in handy with participating in local charity events,” she says.
We asked Marti what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I feel the most pride at my work when I get the opportunity to be
there for my patients. Most of the time our patients are going through
a tough time and being able to help them or bring a smile to their face
makes me feel blessed to have been a positive part of their day.
What I like most about working in Radiology is I feel like my coworkers
are my family. We work so closely with each other every day. When a coworker
has a baby, we are there for them and support them in that journey of
their lives whether it is giving parenting advice or throwing a baby shower.
If a coworker has a loss or family emergency in their lives, we make sure
they are taken care by providing meals or stepping up and covering shifts
for that person. Having a group of coworkers that you can count on every
day makes me really enjoy going to my work. Some days are full of laughter
and smiles and some days are tough, but the people that I have working
beside me every day make it worth coming to work.
Excellence every day means being able to help patients so that they want
to come back to CCMH Radiology because we were able to provide the care
they need. This means going above and beyond for patients and knowing
what they need. My goal is to see a need and meet a need with the patients
I interact with.”
Thank you, Marti, for taking such great care of our patients. We are proud
to have you on our team.
