Welcome Dr. Linden

Editor's note: The other day, CCMH Community Relations Director Karen Clarke sat down with Dr. Jennifer Linden to learn more about her, and why she recently accepted a position with OB GYN Specialists—a Campbell County Clinic.

Dr. Jennifer Linden was surprised by Gillette.

“I had no expectation of living in Wyoming,” said Dr. Linden. “I was just filling a space until a permanent person was hired.”

Dr. Linden and her family had been living overseas for the last six years and were looking to transition back to the United States through some temporary positions, called locum tenens staffing. She took a temporary position at OB GYN Specialists—a Campbell County Clinic, and found that both the clinic and the hospital fit her practice philosophy.

“They pay attention to performance,” she said. “The organization is responsive to the doctors, whether it's equipment or other needs. I haven’t met an unpleasant person yet at CCMH.”

Dr. Linden likes the idea of living in a smaller community, and with two small children the kid-friendly atmosphere was a major plus.

“I’m asking all my patients about elementary schools,” she said.

She believes in teaching women about their bodies along with providing medical care, knowing that for many women, an OB GYN may be the only doctor they see on a regular basis. And, the more women know, the better healthcare decisions they can make for their families.

Dr. Linden’s husband has a business background, and he and sons Jack and Miles will join her in Gillette this summer. The family enjoys outdoor sports like soccer and running.

“My kids saw snow for the first time when they visited here,” said Dr. Linden.
