Thanks for working here Thursday: Kathy, Health and Information Management

Feb 18, 2015

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hi to Kathy, the Lead Transcriptionist for CCH Health and Information Management—what many people refer to as Medical Records. In the department, staff works to make sure that the availability of patient's health information is readily available for doctors, who need it to make the best healthcare-related decisions for their patients, as well as patients. Kathy has been with CCH for 18 years, with a five year break in between. Kathy's always willing to roll up her sleeves and go the extra mile in her position. She takes a lot of pride in her job and will often volunteer to take on more work if she has completed her tasks—what we like to call a role model of an employee.

We asked Kathy what she likes most about working at CCH and what Excellence Every Day means to her. Her response:

"Everyone at CCH is so wonderful to work with—so friendly and hardworking, in all of the departments. We are all striving for excellence in everything we do. In my department, we are always busy, and the procedures and processes really keep us on our toes because they are always in flux.

To me, Excellence Every Day means performing my duties in the best way that I can, so I can serve our patients, providers, coworkers and others with excellence so they feel that they received excellent care."

We are thankful that you enjoy helping people at CCH, Kathy. Job well done!

Is there a CCH employee who went the extra mile or shows you extraordinary service? Give them a pat on the back by completing an Excellence Every Day card.
