Dr. Rodney Biggs is Board Certified in
Surgery and joined the medical staff in 2005. He attended medical school at
Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., and completed his residency in
General Surgery at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids. A native of Casper, Wyo., Dr. Biggs attended the
University of Wyoming as an undergraduate.
Dr. Biggs likes the immediacy of 'fixing' what is broken, and the ability to give the patient a quick resolution to their problem. He believes in educating his patients and recommending treatment, as well as alternatives based on their options and his expertise. He is also looking forward to technological advancements such as robotic surgery and how to utilize this technology in the future to provide better care for his patients.
Dr. Biggs and his wife Angela, an
OB GYN physician, met as freshmen at the University of Wyoming. They were fortunate to attend medical school and residency together and had their daughter Zoe six weeks before they started residency in Michigan. The Biggs' now have four children: Zoe, 15; Sophia, 11; Michael, 9 and John, 4. They enjoy spending time together as a family, and are all avid Wyoming Cowboy fans.
