Thanks for working here Thursday: Brittany Siefert, MOTR/L, Rehabilitation Services

Jul 13, 2016

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow me to introduce Brittany Siefert, MOTR/L, who works as an Occupational Therapist in Campbell County Health Rehabilitation Services in Occupational Therapy. Brittany has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Dakota. She’s also certified in Dry Needling Technique, Graston Technique and Work Well, and is currently pursuing a certification in Hand Therapy. To top all those credentials off, she’s currently the President of the Wyoming Occupational Therapy Association (since 2014). She’s been with CCH for six years. Brittany was attracted to a career in health care because she had, “always been infatuated about how the human body works and the medical field. I also knew that I wanted a career that worked with the public and would make an impact on an individual’s life, regardless if it was big or small.” We asked Brittany what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I enjoy working at CCH because it gives me an opportunity to practice in an area I desire—hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. We get to incorporate the most up to date protocols and the newest interventions to provide the patient with the best care. Rehab Services has such great teamwork and camaraderie. We are constantly able to bounce ideas off other coworkers if we get stuck with a patient with a difficult diagnosis, or learn new techniques from coworkers after they went to a continuing education class. We are ever growing with knowledge from each other, which builds and strengthens our practice.

For me, ‘excellence every day’ means putting your best effort in the tasks that we are passionate about every day to make a true difference for each patient we treat. This is exemplified in the abilities, skills and attitude that are reflected as practitioners. This includes taking that extra time to make sure the patient feels comfortable before starting any treatments, building trust and rapport with the patient, and striving to achieve each patient’s individual goal whether it be returning to work or sport or being able to hold their newest grandchild.”

Theresa Kautz in Wellness had this to say about Brittany: “I was referred to Brittany after having ORIF (open reduction internal fixation) surgery on my left arm in November 2015. At my first visit, I was skeptical that I would be able to get full range of motion back. She continuously reassured me that I would get back to normal in no time. And sure thing I got full motion back! I witnessed on numerous occasions of her going above and beyond for all of her patients ranging from coming in on days off, seeing multiple patients at a time, or accommodating walk-ins from physician referrals. Thanks for all you do Brittany!” Brittany, thank you for always putting our patients first. We appreciate you.
