CCH June 2017 Department Discovery: Biomedical Department

Jun 21, 2017

The Campbell County Health June 2017 Department Discovery shines a light on the Biomedical Department—or, what many health care pros call Biomed.

Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) are healthcare professionals responsible for servicing, maintaining, and managing healthcare technologies throughout the organization. Skilled technicians help acquire, install, maintain, and train healthcare personnel on cutting-edge medical technology. They also support medical staff in the use of the technology. For CCH, these professionals have a hand in servicing more than 4,000 pieces of equipment used to help our patients!

Our Biomed Department is a team of four professionals:

  • Larry Forster
  • Dave Hind
  • Cynthia (Cindy) Jacob
  • Jason Russell

During the last year, this quartet has been actively involved with the design of the Campbell County Memorial Hospital inpatient room redesign on the second floor—you can learn more about this project at www.cchwyo.org/ptrooms.

Their best kept secret is their humor. “Everyone thinks that we are very serious all of the time—but we have a lot of laughs in spite of the seriousness of the job,” says Cindy.

This team believes that the best part of their job is that they know that they have a hand in ensuring a better experience for our patients, and they work as a team to get it done! In fact, this team has more than 70 years of combined experience in the biomed field.

A big round of applause to our Biomed team! Thank you for helping to keep our patients safe and healthy.
