Thanks for working here Thursday: Cindy Houseman, Environmental Services at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center

Sep 26, 2018

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County, Wyoming community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Cindy Houseman, who works in Environmental Services (EVS) at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, Wyoming. For those who don’t know, Environmental and Linen Services is an essential department to all of CCH as it supports patient care by providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, residents, visitors and staff. She’s been with CCH for 11 months, and has a lot of great things to say about her job.

“I enjoy helping people and when an opportunity to work at the Legacy was offered to me I jumped on it,” Cindy says. “I have met so many remarkable people in the health care field. Rachel Wilde (Wellness) is my health coach, she has taught me that I can't take care of others if I don't take care of myself, she is so supportive and motivating. The Legacy is full of people whose compassion, dedication and love show every day.”

Outside of work, Cindy says that she enjoys four wheeling and hiking in the mountains. “With a veterinarian in the house, we have a special place in our lives for animals. I am completely devoted to my wonderful son and feel blessed for the life I have,” she says.

We asked Cindy what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I have grown very close to so many of the people I have met while working at the Legacy and treasure those relationships. I feel that Environmental Services is the greatest department because we don't administer medication or do painful treatments to our residents. We can socialize and build a connection all while providing a clean, safe, and beautiful home for them.

In my eyes, excellence every day is doing my best while being mindfully present on our resident's needs.”

Thank you, Cindy, for helping us take such great care of our residents. We are proud to have you on our team.
