Thanks for working here Thursday: Danielle L. Allison, The Legacy Nutrition Services

Dec 18, 2019

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Danielle L. Allison, a Nutrition Tech at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center Nutrition Services in Gillette, Wyoming. Danielle has been with CCH for two years, and has worked in food service her entire career. “I’m happiest when I’m serving other people,” she says. “I am a natural caregiver by heart.”

When asked about her health care hero, she mentions a Nutrition Services Supervisor, Nancy Martinez. “She started from the bottom and has worked very hard to come to where she is now. As a single mom with a language barrier she has worked so hard to become a supervisor. She is great to go to for guidance, and is constantly teaching and showing me new things all the time,” she says.

When Danielle isn’t at work, she enjoys hanging out with my kids and husband. “We play video games, spend time with our dog—we are very family oriented,” she says.

We asked Danielle what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“When the residents are happy to see me just makes my day. This shows me that I can brighten their day. It’s very gratifying to make their day that much better. I love the team dynamic and how good of a team we work together. It’s not just Nutrition Services, it’s when I’m working on a unit, the interdepartmental communication with the nursing staff and others is so great, I know that I can ask questions and they are there to help you. The Leadership in my department has shown me so much support and helps me be better at what I do. They continue to push me and help me be the best I can be. I’m really happy to work here. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work, and I’m blessed to work for The Legacy and CCH.

Excellence Every Day means coming in, ready to shine, and be there in the way that my residents need me for whatever they need for me. I’m here to serve my residents. Even if it’s just a warm blanket to wrap them in, I can do that for them and they appreciate what I can do for them.”

Thank you, Danielle, we appreciate you!
