Thanks for working here Thursday: Holly Merwin, CCH Patient Financial Services

Jul 31, 2019

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Meet Holly Merwin, a Billing Specialist at Patient Financial Services at the Pioneer Building in Gillette, Wyoming. Holly has an Associate’s Degree in Business from Lower Columbia College in Longview, Wash. She’s been with CCH for the last four years—but, before that she did billing for a Durable Medical Equipment Company for three years in Oklahoma. For those who don’t know, Patient Financial Services manages the Campbell County Memorial Hospital (CCMH), Campbell County Medical Group Clinics, Home Health and Hospice, and Home Medical Resources billing. This department makes it easier for patients at the hospital and the clinics to pay their bills in one location.

Holly says she decided to work in health care because she’s always enjoyed being able to help people. “I know I can really make a difference being able to help patients understand their health insurance,” she says. Holly calls her health care hero Patty Ringer, who is the Office Manager for Patient Financial Services. “Patty has really gone above and beyond the last few months to support us, and encourage us on a daily basis. She makes coming to work a pleasure!”

When Holly is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. “I love going to the lake with my husband and two teenage daughters, as well as scrapbooking and reading,” she says.

We asked Holly what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I look forward to being able to relieve the stress of our patients by working with their insurance to get their bill paid correctly. I enjoy the camaraderie of my department—we all get along well and support each other.

Excellence every day means that I’m applying my skills to help patients, and having a positive attitude in all situations.”

Holly, thank you for being there for our patients when they have questions about their bills. We appreciate you!
