Thanks for working here Thursday: Jody Sexton, CPHT, CCMH Pharmacy

May 30, 2019

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County, Wyoming community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Allow us to introduce Jody Sexton, CPHT, a Pharmacy Technician at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) Pharmacy in Gillette, Wyoming. Jody has been with CCH for nearly a year but has been in healthcare for more than 13 years. Jody has her Chemo Certification through National Pharmacy Technician Association. For those who don’t know, the CCMH Pharmacy isn't a retail pharmacy, instead it’s responsible for helping with medications prescribed for patients while they are in the hospital. The CCMH Pharmacy is also the only dispensary that provides home IV therapy that's ordered by a provider and mixes all of the chemotherapy drugs for the patients at the Heptner Cancer Center.

Jody began her career in health care in the cafeteria at a former hospital in The Dalles, Oregon. She was encouraged to apply in the Pharmacy when a position came open. “I have been with the Pharmacy ever since and I love it!” she says. She called her healthcare hero a former colleague, Amanda Cummings, a Pharmacist. “She always went the extra mile no matter what. She was one of the hardest workers I have ever worked with, and I always looked up to her and strive to be a hard worker every day,” Jody says.

Outside of work, Jody loves photography and spending time with her family and friends.

We asked Jody what she likes most about working at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

“I love the teamwork here. Everyone is willing to help in any way they can and I appreciate everyone here for being kind to me as a new employee. I have a wonderful boss and coworkers here that make coming to work very enjoyable! I feel very Blessed to work for CCH.

Excellence every day to me means always having the patient first on your mind. Striving to be the best every day for the patients wellbeing is what I strive to do every day I come to work.”

Thank you, Jody. We are proud to have you on our team.
