Little Sprouts Preschool spends time with EMS

Nov 06, 2019

Campbell County Health Emergency Medical Services spent some time with the Little Sprouts Preschool & Early Learning Center in Wright, Wyoming this week!

Nearly 15 children, and their teachers, toured the ambulances and learned about what EMS does for our community.

"We showed them how we take vital signs, let them see a lot of the equipment that we use, and we talked about the bones in our bodies and how many we have (it's 208 if you're curious)," says Colleen Long, Paramedic.

The crew also talked a lot about safety, which covered topics like why it's important to ride in their car seats properly buckled and why it's important to wear helmets when they are on their bikes/scooters/skateboards, and more.

If you are interested in having EMS stop by your school, or want to arrange a time to tour the EMS Base, please contact Colleen Long at 307.688.1661 or Colleen.Long@CCHWYO.ORG.
