Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Keely Geer, the E-Learning Specialist with CCH’s
Professional Development, Infection Prevention, Employee Health and
Case Management departments in Campbell County, Wyoming. Keely has an Associate of Arts
degree from
Gillette College, and is currently working on earning her Bachelor’s Degree. She’s
been with CCH for a year and a half, but has been in the health care industry
for four years.
For those who don’t know, Keely is part of a team that provides annual
compliance education, continuing education and assistance with formal
education and certificates for all of CCH’s employees. The department
partners with several community colleges and universities to offer students
clinical experience. Our
Health Sciences Education Center is located on the Gillette College campus and provides CCH with the ability
to hold several classes concurrently. This department also includes Employee
Health and the medical library for staff. The case management side guides
employees at CCH, and other organizations in the community, through the
injury care process—from onset of injury or illness, to safe return
to work or optimal health.
Keely was inspired to work in healthcare because she believes that it’s
a vital part of any community. “I wanted to be a part of serving
the community in a positive way. It’s an incredible blessing to
work for Campbell County Health,” she says.
Keely calls her mother-in-law Virginia Geer, who previously worked at CCH,
her healthcare hero. “I watched her in awe when she demonstrated
such devotion and care to my father-in-law, Larry. She provided invaluable
support and comfort to him during his battle with cancer. I have a tremendous
amount of respect for those that care for others with such compassion,” she says.
When Keely isn’t at work, she thoroughly enjoys helping other women
with skincare and makeup. “It has helped me get to know and help
so many amazing women, who have become friends. I also enjoy spending
time with my husband, Kevin, and our children—we all absolutely
love to travel,” she says.
We asked Keely what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I feel the most pride in my work here at CCH, in having the honor
of working with an organization built with so many incredible people.
I feel like I'm a part of a team and I'm always meeting new amazing
people who are a part of that team.
What I like most about working in my department is the positive leadership.
I also like the team's strong work ethic, devotion to excellence and
willingness of everyone to help each other. I feel like our leadership
both challenges and encourages us in our skills and abilities. We also
have a team of people who have a fantastic sense of humor and that makes
working with them so truly amazing.
Excellence Every Day means consistency, to me. Every day, we need to consistently
strive to challenge ourselves and others to bring exceptional care to
our community and surrounding area as well as each other.”
We couldn’t agree more, Keely. Thank you for being a part of our
team. We appreciate you!
