Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Alyssa Gouldin, RT, (R)(CT)(ARRT), who works as a
Radiologic Technologist in the
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming. For those who
don’t know, a Cardiac Cath Lab (also known as the cath lab) offers
a variety of diagnostic and interventional
cardiology procedures used in the treatment of coronary artery and peripheral vascular
disease. Alyssa has her Associates in Applied Science, and has worked
for CCH for more than a year. She has been in health care for more than
eight years, working in
medical imaging areas including CT, Interventional Radiology, and X-ray. Professionals
in medical imaging, Cath Lab and radiology departments, conduct exams
that provide physicians with information about your health and can help
diagnose and treat diseases and injuries.
Alyssa was inspired to work in health care because, “I have always
enjoyed helping others,” she says. She called her mother her healthcare
hero, who has been a lab tech for 40 years.
When Alyssa isn’t at work, she’s outside. “I love to
be outdoors, and hanging out with family and friends! Some of my favorite
activities include hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, kayaking, snowboarding,
softball, volleyball, and golf. Plus, I have a 7-year-old daughter who
keeps me busy,” she says.
We asked Alyssa what she likes most about working for CCH, and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“What has given me the most pride in working here at CCH in the Cath
Lab is being able to fix patient’s problem versus how I used to
be on the diagnosing side of things for patients. This brings greater
satisfaction for me. I truly feel like I am helping each patient. What
I love most about working in my department is working with great doctors
and the flexibility our department has for me.
Excellence every day means to me that every minute of every day we all
strive to do the best we can do. It is going the extra mile to do something
for someone or even yourself. It also means to excel at what we do day
to day and then think of better ways to do it even better next time!”
Thank you, Alyssa, for doing the best you can do for our patients. We appreciate you!
