June's Provider of the Month is Ian Swift, MD.
Dr. Swift joined the Medical Staff in 2012. As a Board Certified Otolaryngologist, he practices at Campbell County Medical Group, Ear, Nose and Throat and performs
surgery at CCMH and
Powder River Surgery Center.
He attended medical school at the Milton S. Harvey Medical Center at Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Penn., and completed both his general surgery internship and ENT residency at theUniversity of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Swift also provides care in
Facial Plastic Surgery services. His experience in this specialty area brings a new service to our community that many people are excited about.
Dr. Swift was inspired to become a physician because of his desire to help people of all ages at difficult moments in their life; to help them get through difficult times and live a full and healthy life. He enjoys caring for the youngest child as much as he does adults.
Being able to practice medicine in a diverse environment with a full clinic practice, along with surgical medicine meets Dr. Swift’s desire to treat the whole person and gives him a good practice blend. With the additional specialty of reconstructive facial surgery, he can provide a service that helps people feel better about themselves.
The biggest change Dr. Swift has seen in his years of practice is a positive one: patients taking charge of their healthcare, becoming more involved and basically serving as their own “CEO” of their care. Historically, patients relied wholly on a physician’s opinion. Now, he feels it is a real partnership to help patients set out on a road of good health. He loves the role of educator as a physician and believes this helps patients take better care of themselves whether he is at their side or not.
Dr. Swift is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys the Wyoming lifestyle. In addition to hiking, biking, skiing and rock climbing, he enjoys exploring cultures around the world in his travels. He and his wife, Holly have a full and happy household with four teenagers that keep them very busy.
Thank you Dr. Swift, for your commitment to improve the healthcare of our community and for joining our team!
