Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow me to introduce Amber Gruba, a Patient Collections Specialist with
the Campbell County Medical Group Central Billing Office (CBO). There
roughly 15 Clinics that use the CBO, and in the office staff send invoices
to patients, post payments, take phone calls and even make collection
calls. Amber has 13 years of experience working in this kind of environment,
and has worked for CCH for nearly two years.
“I have always loved helping people,” Amber says. “Health
care was a natural transition for my experience. I love that I can speak
with people each day and do my very best to help them with their financial
situations as it applies to their medical needs.”
We asked Amber what she likes most about working for CCH and what excellence
every day means to her. Check out her response:
“Knowing that I get to help the people in our community the best
that I can makes coming to work each day worth it. I also have some the
best coworkers—we have a really great team. They are always there
to help when needed.
Excellence every day is something I like to keep in my daily thinking.
I believe that medical care is circumstantial and generally unplanned.
I always try to keep this in mind when helping our patients during tough
times and while trying to figure out their financial needs. Excellence
every day means keeping an open mind, having compassion and treating patients
with the utmost respect.”
That’s a great definition of excellence every day, Amber, and we
see that you are a great example of your definition. Thank you for taking
such great care of our patients. We appreciate you.
