Results from the latest
community perception survey show that satisfaction rates and positive perception of CCH have stayed
fairly consistent from the last time the survey was performed in 2015.
This year’s survey was completed by 551 people from March 15-April
15 2017, with statistically valid results, plus or minus 5 percent. The
survey was conducted by marketing consulting firm
Jet Marketing.
The results showed a slight decrease in public perception, a slight increase
in overall satisfaction, increase in awareness of services and a slight
decrease in people leaving town for healthcare services.
Key services that have been the focus of recent marketing efforts showed
increases in awareness:
There was a substantial increase in social media as a preferred method
to receive communication about healthcare services. Direct mail, email
and internet were rated at about the same level of preference as the previous survey.
The Campbell County Memorial Hospital
Emergency Department and Campbell County Medical Group
Walk-in Clinic were common themes in the open-ended question portion of the survey, as
they have been in prior years, with more negative comments than positive.
The most notable change was a marked increase in negative comments on
billing issues.
Recommendations included continuing to use patient and employee stories
to communicate about healthcare experiences, and explore marketing opportunities
using new digital platforms.
