Nov 15, 2017

Meet Mary Anne Stuckey and Rich Townsend, two valuable volunteers with Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming!

Mary Ann has been a fixture in the CCH Community Relations department, The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice since 2005. She is responsible for assembling the postpartum discharge packets given to new mothers in the Maternal Child department.

“What a Godsend this beautiful woman is!” said Brenda Lanz-Dedman, CCMH Maternal Child department secretary. “Mary Ann puts our Post-Partum packets together and has for many years. She is meticulous and is such a joy. Thank you Mary Ann for your hard work, dedication, and always smiling face, Maternal Child couldn’t do it without you”.

Mary Ann has contributed over 3,000 volunteer hours, and she loves to keep busy. In addition to the discharge packets she puts together, Mary Ann regularly plays bingo and visits with the residents at The Legacy, and does various clerical tasks for Hospice.

Mary Ann was recently featured in a story about the Lifeline program. Lifeline helps keep people independent and in their homes by providing emergency notification at the push of a button through a land line or cell phone.

CCH Volunteer Rich TownsendRich has volunteered for CCH since 2010. If you’ve been down to the Community Relations department you’ve probably seen Rich sitting at the back counter working on a project. He’s amassed over 1,900 hours on projects like a monthly mailing to new Gillette and Campbell County residents, letting them know about the services available at Campbell County Health.

He does mailings for many other departments and clinics, labels and sorts the magazines for patient waiting rooms, and laminates items like the “clean” tags used on medical equipment in patient care areas.

Mary Anne and Rich embody the spirit of volunteerism—giving their time for the opportunity to help others. Thanks Rich and Mary Anne, for all you do!
