Meet Wayne Laddusaw, a valuable
volunteer with Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming.
Since 2006, Wayne has volunteered over 1,300 hours at CCH. He works as
an Associate Chaplain, leading communion at
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center twice a month.
Besides communion, Wayne provides spiritual support to patients, residents
and families at CCH. After completing his scheduled duties he always checks
in at the nursing stations to ensure that he is available to all residents
during his visits at The Legacy. He estimates that he spends about two
to three hours each time he volunteers.
Wayne also volunteers his services to help The Legacy staff get through
their tough days. “Employees need just as much attention as the
residents,” says Wayne about providing spiritual support and care
to staff members.
His devotion to his volunteer work is recognized by all he encounters.
“It is an honor to work alongside Wayne in
Chaplain Services at CCH. He is incredibly faithful to the work we do at The Legacy and
his love for the residents, employees and families of The Legacy is truly
inspiring. I am honored to call his a fellow Chaplin and a friend here
at CCH,” says
Donny Edwards, the Chaplain Coordinator at CCH.
Before volunteering at CCH, Wayne was a volunteer for the
International Pilots for Christ—Wyoming Chapter, a non-denominational organization that is dedicated to the promotion
of the Gospel through mercy and compassion flights. Wayne served as the
Mission Coordinator in Gillette, helping relocate patients and family
members in need of emergency transportation. He also previously volunteered
as an emergency medical technician for the CCH
Emergency Medical Services.
In his downtime, Wayne enjoys connecting with his large family. He has
three children, 10 grandkids and six great-grandkids. This summer, Wayne
will be cooking outdoors—enjoying both the weather and his beautiful yard.
Wayne embodies the spirit of volunteerism—giving his time for the
opportunity to help others. Thank you, Wayne, for your continued dedication
to serving residents, employees and families at The Legacy.
