Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Kayla Rodriguez, a Registration Specialist at the
Campbell County Medical Group
Main Clinic. Kayla has been with CCH for three years, and is one of the friendly faces
you will see when you check in at the Main Clinic, which houses
Family Medicine,
Geriatric Medicine,Internal Medicine,
Neurology & Pain,
OB GYN Specialists,
Pediatrics and
Urology. As a registration specialist, she schedules appointments, helps gather
information from patients to register for their doctor's appointment,
and enters that information into their electronic medical record.
When she was a kid, Kayla dreamed of being a nurse and working on the “baby
floor.” “Instead of following through with my dream because
I wasn’t sure if I could handle blood, I decided to pursue a career
in banking. I enjoyed working at a financial institution. However, nursing
was still tugging at my heart, so I decided to try working in the administrative
side to see if the medical field was where I wanted to be. Here I am,
three years later loving my job and hoping to someday follow my dreams
and go back to school for nursing,” she says.
Kayla names Jennifer (Jen) Stevenson, RN, as her health care hero because
she always goes above and beyond for her patients. “She is a nurse
who listens, understands and comforts. She is the prime example of a great
nurse, in my opinion,” she says.
When Kayla isn’t working, she enjoys spending as much time as possible
with friends and family. We asked Kayla what she likes most about working
at CCH, and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“Working in the Main Clinic is like working with a large family.
We all strive to make a difference in our patients lives, every day. The
thing I like MOST would be our patients and the different people and situations
we are in every day. It makes you feel good about yourself that you were
able to influence that patient’s day, even if it was just by checking
them in to see their doctor. A moment that has made me feel that most
pride in my job was when I got asked by my supervisor Melainie Buer to
help build a new system that the clinics are implementing. That was quite an honor.
To me, excellence every day means doing everything you can do (going the
extra mile) to make sure our patients' visits are excellent.”
Thank you for joining our team, Kayla. We appreciate you!
