Jun 22, 2016

Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they do for this organization.

Say hello to Sandra (Sandy) Cross, CPC, Coder a with the Campbell County Medical Group Central Billing Office (CBO). Sandy has an associate's degree in business and is a Certified Professional Coder. She has worked for CCH for nearly eight years. There roughly 15 Clinics that use the CBO, and in the office staff sends invoices to patients, post payments, take phone calls and even make collection calls. They also played a large part in the ICD-10 implementation, which was a new system of medical diagnosis reporting for billing and other medical documentation that went into effect on October 1, 2015. We asked Sandy what she likes most about working for Campbell County Health and what excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:

"Every day, there seems to be a new challenge to conquer. For example, CCH gave me the chance to be involved in the beginning of some of the new specialty clinics like Orthopedics, Cardiology and Endocrinology. I also like working with the people in the CBO because you are able to bounce questions of your co-workers and come up with solutions.

The phrase "excellence every day" means giving 110% all day long. I try to think I go the extra mile from opening doors, flashing a friendly smile, giving directions and working hard for my department and for the eight providers I code and enter charges for every day."

Thank you, Sandy for all that you do for the CBO. We're proud to have you on our team.
