CCH September 2017 Department Discovery: CCMG Family Medicine

Sep 21, 2017

The Campbell County Health September 2017 Department Discovery shines a light on the Campbell County Medical Group Family Medicine Clinic, located in the Main Clinic.

Your family’s health is CCMG Family Medicine’s No. 1 priority! The clinic provides primary healthcare for people from the ages of 8 years old to 59 years old (and beyond) in Gillette, Wyoming, offering:

  • Child and adolescent health
  • Adult health
  • Vaccinations and travel consultations
  • Help coordinating prescriptions and refills
  • Fast referral with Campbell County Medical Group Clinics and Campbell County Memorial Hospital services

Practice Manager Amy Poole, BSN, RN, calls the staff of six in the Family Medicine Clinic, “the most professional, driven care providers who are also down to Earth and truly caring.”

Providers at the Clinic include Nathan Tracey, DO, and Julie Jones, Physician Assistant (PA).

Dr. Tracey joined the medical staff in 2015. He attended West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia and completed his family practice residency at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent a year in a general surgery internship program before settling on family medicine as a specialty. He still has an active interest in orthopedics and sports medicine, and sees nonsurgical orthopedic patients at Powder River Orthopedics and Spine (PROS) two days per week; and assists Dr. Stan Israelsen in surgery one-half day per week.

Julie joined CCMG in 2016, and studied at Barry University for her Master of Clinical Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

This year, helping patients maximize their time with the providers is top of mind for the Clinic, according to Amy. “We are excited to roll out a rooming process that incorporates nursing and the Medical Assistants engaging actively with Dr. Tracey. This will help streamline the patient’s visit experience and maximize the patient’s face-to-face time with Dr. Tracey,” says Amy. “Julie Jones would like to expand her practice to include more pediatric patients to provide the family care that is needed in our community.”

A big round of applause to the CCMG Family Medicine Clinic! Thank you for helping to keep our patients healthy and happy. You can learn more about the clinic, and the providers, at www.cchwyo.org/family.
