Friends Katelyn and Jaclyn Mansheim, and Hannah Winkler like to have sleepovers together, as girls often do.
During a recent sleepover Hannah read one of her American Girl doll books that talked about cancer. The friends decided to make some crafts, have a craft sale and donate the money to people in need. And that’s what they did on a Saturday in their neighborhood.
They raised enough money to give $90 to the American Cancer Society to “…get rid of cancer”, and $99 to help patients at the
Heptner Cancer Center.
Mom Jen Winkler drove the girls to the hospital to present their gift. She was very proud of their initiative and caring gesture, and so are we.
