“I was a laser test subject,” says Karen Clarke, Community Relations manager.
No, not like in some scary scene from a 1990s science fiction movie.
Karen recently volunteered for a laser photofacial at Campbell County Clinics—Ear, Nose & Throat.
Dr. Ian Swift and his staff had just gotten in the new laser equipment and were looking for volunteers for training purposes.
“I was a little apprehensive, but who doesn’t want to have better-looking skin? It took only a few minutes, and felt a little prickly—like a pinch or a snap from a rubber band. And, my face felt hot, as if I was sunburned, but only for a few hours,” says Karen.
The “photofacial” Karen had is only one of many new skincare services available at the Clinic. Laser treatment such as this can help with scars, hair removal, dark spots, stretch marks, spider veins, redness and acne.
Other cosmetic procedures and services offered at the Clinic include:
- SkinMedica Professional skin care products that are scientifically formulated and clinically tested to rejuvenate skin and help rekindle your skin's youthful appearance
- Juvéderm, an injectable filler used to reduce wrinkles
- Botox, a medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate-to-severe wrinkles
