Campbell County Memorial Hospital
Maternal Child Services is creating a special tree for this year’s
Festival of Trees. Titled
In memory of the littlest angels who left the biggest impression on our hearts, Maternal Child has invited all parents in the Campbell County, Wyoming
community to add an ornament to this tree in memory of pregnancy or child loss.
“Every life counts,” says Dianna Moore, CCMH Maternal Child
Lactation Coordinator. “For a mom, even if a pregnancy lasted a
few weeks, it was still a child to them. And we want to help them remember
that child’s life.”
Dianna personally lost a child at 16 weeks some 20 years ago, and has an
ornament that will adorn the tree. "One of the services that I like
best in Maternal Child is that we do honor every life by providing mothers
who have lost a child with a certificate and other mementoes. We want
them to know that their child's life matters."
Maternal Child Services will provide clear, fillable ornaments that families
can decorate as they wish, or make their own to place on the tree. Helping
Dianna with the tree is Ashley Hicks, Josie LeMaster and Carene Weinand.
The tree is sponsored by
Dr. James Price.
Contact Maternal Child Services at 307.688.2200 to pick up an ornament
for decoration. Deadline to return the ornament is Monday, November 7.
The Littlest Angel Tree will be on display at Festival of Trees, which
takes place November 18-20 at CAM-PLEX.
