This holiday season, the
Boot Barn in Gillette, Wyoming wanted to brighten the health care experience for
children by donating more than 60 plush horses to Campbell County Health.
These and other new stuffed animals are given to children who are in the
Emergency Department. The nurses and doctors really like having something to give the kids
when they are scared and not feeling well.
“We are grateful for this and all donations. The kids really soften
when you give them a stuffed animal, which helps us be able to treat the
more effectively,” says Nurse Supervisor Cathy Heiman.
Thank you to the Boot Barn for their wonderful donation!
Due to infection prevention standards, CCH can only accept brand new items—we
may not accept gently used plush toys, clothing or blankets; used books
are taken on a case-by-case basis. Items must also come from a smoke free
establishment. If you wish to donate items to Campbell County Health,
please contact Community Relations at 307.688.1580.
