Did you know that blood is traditionally in short supply during the winter,
especially January, due to the holidays, travel schedules, bad weather
and illness.
Every day about 39,000 units of blood are required in for patients with
cancer and other diseases, for organ transplants and to help save the
lives of accident victims.
For those who don't know, January is National Blood Donor Month. All
of us at Campbell County Health urge you to consider giving blood this
month at a local blood drive in our community. Visit
www.bloodhero.com to see what local blood drives are scheduled.
