Thanks to the generosity of the Kate Weis Trust,
Campbell County Memorial Hospital now has a new sculpture on display:
Caught in the Wild made of out marble with Persian green onyx created by Drew Walter of
Drew Walter Studio’s in Denver, Colo. You can find this piece near the Gift Shoppe in the Main
Lobby of CCMH. Once the
inpatient room project is completed, the sculpture will be on display on the Second Floor.
This is not the first item that the Kate Weis Trust has donated in the
last few years: the beautiful
acoustic grand pianos in the Main Lobby of CCMH and in the Great Room of
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center have also been donated by the Trust.
Drew Walter Studios was started after a lifelong love affair with art.
Both of Drew’s parents were artists and inspired him to follow his
creativity. Drew received an Art Degree and Master’s Degree from the
University of Wyoming; he later became a high school art teacher in Denver, Colorado.
“Living in the West for almost 40 years, I have come to appreciate
what Wyoming and Colorado has to offer—from breathtaking landscapes
to majestic wildlife,” says Drew. “My art has evolved from
nature and through my artwork I try to capture the beauty, the mystery,
the power and the grace of this land.”
