Cardiology simulates performing
CPR during a "mock code blue" drill this week.
Watching intently is Garret Ingersoll, age 4, who happened to be in the
area when the drill took place.
Who knows, Garrett may become a physician himself in about 25 years!
For those who don't know: A "code blue" means someone is
in cardiac arrest—their heart has stopped beating. As an organization,
Campbell County Health encourages all its entities to practice responding
to code blue and other emergencies on a regular basis, so staff is prepared
if and when there is a real emergency.
