Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Allow us to introduce Kelly Jo Sogn, a Registration Specialist at the
Campbell County Medical Group Main Clinic. Kelly graduated from high school in Wright, went to
Gillette College for a time and is currently attending
Casper College pursuing her Medical Lab Scientist degree. “The laboratory specimen
and analysis has always intrigued me as I find it fascinating to be part
of a team that detects a given condition and helps aid in finding a treatment
plan,” she says. She hopes to further her education by obtaining
her degree in forensic science. She has been with CCH for a little over a year.
Kelly has always held a special place in her heart for working with people
and putting their needs above her own. “At the end of the day, I
love knowing that the work I perform on a daily basis helps each and every
patient who walks through the Main Clinic’s doors,” she says.
Kelly names Angie Cortez, RN, with the CCMG
Internal Medicine clinic as her health care hero. “She has always been an inspiration
to me. She gives patient care that is nothing short of amazing to each
and every one of our patients, every day. Angie is always without fail
willing to lend a hand whenever she is asked. Angie’s contagious
laugh, personality and caring soul are just a small sample of what makes
her such a great role model.”
For fun, Kelly says that she enjoys camping and being in the boat on the
lake with her family in the summer time. She and her husband love to ride
through the Black Hills and end the day with a dinner date. She also enjoys
spending time with her 11-year-old son, Christian, who loves to read,
ride bikes, play soccer, watch anything and everything that involves airplanes
and who also likes to help cook.
We asked Kelly what makes her feel the most pride in her work, what she
enjoys most about working for CCH, and what excellence every day means
to her. Check out her response:
“I take pride in all aspects of my job. But, one of my proudest moments
was when I had the best registration audit results within all CCMG clinics.
I am part of a great team of people at the Main Clinic. If I had to pick
the one thing that I like the most about working here, it would be greeting
our patients as they walk through the door or walking them upstairs if
needed. I like visiting with the patients and getting to know them so
I can call them by name when they come into the clinic.
To me, excellence every day means striving to do my job for our patients,
co-workers and the community to the best of my ability, each and every
day. It means striving to improve patient’s visit or experience
throughout our organization. Sometimes, it’s the smallest things,
such as offering a cup of coffee or changing the TV channel that can mean
the difference between a good visit and a poor visit.”
Thank you, Kelly for always striving to brighten our patients’ day.
We appreciate you!
