CCH
Nutrition Services Technician II Angelia Stone, CDM, CFPP, was featured in the July-August
2017 edition of
Nutrition and Foodservice Edge magazine, the premier resources for foodservice management and food safety professionals.
The article,
CDM Spotlights: Implementing New, Kid Friendly Menus for Pediatric Patients, talks about the new pediatric menus that Angelia implemented recently.
In the article, Angelia states:
“Instead of buying the pre-printed menu jackets, I created a color
page menu jacket with our pediatric menu choices on one side, and a color
page and nutrition information on the opposite side… I believe
the new menus will be a great benefit for patients because they are able
to be more hands-on when filling out menus. I feel like allowing our pediatric
patients to be as independent as possible in the hospital is important
for them… With food, you do have control over what you can select
to eat, which I feel is very important when it comes to the healing process.”
Angelia is currently working on another innovation: Vision Boards, which
will allow Nutrition Services to communicate more effectively to all CCH
staff. Great job, Angelia!
