Campbell County Health is proud of its employees, and we want the CCH family
and the Campbell County community to know about the good work that they
do for this organization.
Meet Brenda Lanz-Dedman, a Certified Health Unit Coordinator (CHUC) for
Maternal Child Services at Campbell County Memorial Hospital (CCMH). As a unit secretary, Brenda helps document physician orders, prepares
patient treatment charts, updates patient information and helps with other
clerical needs on the floor. Brenda’s colleagues will tell you that
she always has a smile on her face, and is a pleasure to interact with.
Brenda has worked for CCH for 35 years! Prior to moving to Gillette, Brenda
worked at three hospitals in South Dakota for a total of seven years,
which gives her 42 years of working in health care. Brenda was inspired
to work in health care because she has always enjoyed caring for people
as well as always loved babies and children; in fact, she has five children
and 11 grandchildren.
Brenda calls
Tracy Wasserburger her health care hero. “Tracy is so amazing and such an inspiration.
She is the one who keeps me coming back to work every day,” says Brenda.
Outside of work, Brenda says that she enjoys spending time with her family
and grandkids, gardening, camping, fishing. Her husband, Darryl, and her
love to spend time in the mountains.
We asked Brenda what she enjoys most about working at CCH, as well as what
excellence every day means to her. Check out her response:
“I am very proud to work in the Maternal Child department. I’ve
formed some great bonds and friendships with people. We have such a great
crew of nurses and doctors.
To me, excellence every day is greeting everyone with a smile, looking
them in the eye and saying hello. It means that I’m doing my best
every day.”
Thank you, Brenda for taking such great care of our patients. We’re
proud to have you on our team.
