Campbell County Health congratulates volunteer Robin Bailey on receiving the
Wyoming Hospital Association Volunteer of the Year award.
We are quite confident that many of our community members know Robin—after
all, she spent nearly 37 years working for the United States Senate with
Sen. Malcom Wallop, Sen. Alan Simpson and
Sen. Mike Enzi. And now you can find her volunteering throughout the community.
“Robin is a problem solver, but what makes her really shine is her
inherent desire to help people—a trait that when combined with her
can-do attitude makes her a great choice for Outstanding Volunteer,”
says Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.
Robin is a regular
volunteer at Campbell County Health in Gillette, Wyoming, helping out at the Information Desk at
Campbell County Memorial Hospital and volunteering with residents at
The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center—she also sits on The Legacy Advisory Board. At CCMH, Robin greets
patients, arranges valet parking, gives directions to guests and patients,
and helps with office needs.
“I am in awe of Robin, and her commitment to the people in our community,”
says Chris Buxton, CCH Volunteer Services Coordinator. “Her kindness
extends to the young, and the young-at-heart alike.”
At The Legacy, Robin assists staff with bingo and crafts, serves lunch
on Mother’s and Father’s Days, as well as the Christmas dinner.
She also takes residents to Wal-Mart to shop.
“When Robin walks into our facility (The Legacy), the joy factor
increases between the residents and Administration,” says
Jonni Belden, RN, Vice President of Continuing Health Services. “She is a delight
to work with, and she is so gentle and kind to all the residents. Each
of our staff, volunteers and families know Robin by sight and by name.”
But, CCH isn’t her only volunteer stomping ground. She volunteers with the
Campbell County Senior Center (CCSC), and is the chair of the Campbell County Senior Citizens Foundation
Board. There, Robin serves lunches, greets, helps with mailings and serves
on the Senior Center’s Election Forum Committee.
“Robin is a dedicated volunteer at our Senior Center,” says
Margie Ketterling, CCSC Activities Coordinator. “The seniors look
forward to seeing her each week. I cannot convey how Robin’s presence
makes it a better place to be.”
She also delivers food to school children for
Blessings in a Backpack, and helps
NewLife Gillette Church with Special Prom, an evening for those with disabilities.
We are in awe of Robin, and hope you are as well. Thank you, Robin, for
all that you have done and continue to do for the Campbell County, Wyoming
community, and for the organizations that you so generously give your
time to help. Congratulations.
