The
Cancer Care Committee of the
Campbell County Healthcare Foundation is at it again, folks: they are itching to
Paint Gillette Pink for all of October 2018, and a little of September 2018.
And they want you to join them.
Breast cancer. Two small words that barely take up any space when written,
but they have the power to take over one’s life. Cancer is a disease
that has affected—or will affect—nearly all of us at some
point in our lives.
As many of you know, October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month; therefore, all of the funds raised during Paint Gillette Pink will be
donated to local patients and families who are fighting cancer. For those
who don't know, the Cancer Care Committee considers applications and
grants up to $5,000 each month, giving out more than $160,000 since 2013.
Check out these events to see how you can get your pink on:
- Purchase Paint Gillette Pink car decals ($10) or 24”x24” yard
signs ($25) and display them proudly. Items can be purchased at the Campbell
County Recreation Center, 250 Shoshone Avenue in Gillette. Cash or check
only please.

Put your spare change in a donation jar at participating local businesses—find

Round up your bill at your favorite participating local restaurants—find

Facebook page.

Attend the
Pink Out Night at the Camels vs Bolts football game on Friday, September 21 at 7 pm at
Thunder Basin High School, 4001 Saunders Blvd in Gillette.

Participate in the
Pink Out Day on Friday, October 26 and wear pink to show your support to those who
have battled cancer.
